ISTD Street Dance
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Street Awards syllabus is offered at Pixie Lott’ Performing Arts Academy at age 6+. Whilst working towards your Street Medalists you will learn some of the hottest dance moves as seen in pop videos in a laid back environment. Street dance is energetic and a great way to get in shape whilst you have fun! Boost your self-esteem, gain confidence, develop rhythm and co-ordination with exciting choreography. Street medal tests are one of ISTD's newest examinations and provides up to date choreography and a structured approach for teachers to measure the progress of individual candidates.
Street Exams promote an appreciation and enjoyment of Street Dance, with a view to developing technical and artistic qualities, Introduces an understanding of the various styles of Street Dance, the different rhythmic expressions and characterisations and motivates candidates and build self-confidence by providing carefully staged goals. Provide a structured approach for teachers to measure the progress of individual candidates.
