Lauren Taylor-Baker - Ballet and Singing Teacher

Lauren has been dedicated to the arts from a very young age. Her initial training was with the Weston School of Dance, who were associates of the Royal Ballet School. Later on Lauren was offered vocational training at various dance and drama colleges and achieved the Higher National Diploma in Dance. In addition Lauren studied Music and Voice at Kensington and Chelsea College in London.
Lauren has since been performing professionally for almost 10 years, working alongside a number of established entertainment companies as a vocalist/performer for cabaret shows, tribute acts, weddings, restaurants, private and corporate events.
 
Lauren has been a session singer, performed and toured with a musical theatre cast around the UK and has performed on TV.
Lauren most recently was invited to be a backing singer for Glaswegian 60’s legend Lulu who is most notably known for her hit song “Shout” & “To Sir With Love”.
Lauren writes and releases her own music onto iTunes and has been played on BBC radio.
 

As well as performing, Lauren has a passion for teaching and passing on her knowledge and love for the Arts to the younger and next generation.Lauren has graduated with a Level 6 teaching Degree with Trinity College London and now holds a qualification specialising in teaching Dance. She regularly attends CPD courses to develop and update her teaching knowledge. And most recently was lucky enough to observe classes at the Royal Ballet School’s White Lodge.Lauren is in her final semester of teacher training at Momentum Performing Arts Academy in Bushey, Hertfordshire to obtain her DDE Imperial Classical Ballet qualification with the ISTD. Lauren teaches singing and enters her pupils into exams under the London College Of Music syllabus. To date she has had 100% pass rates.
