Carla Gentry - Head of Ballet
Miss Carla started her dance training at the Eileen Findley Studio of Dance at the age of 5,she then went on to continue her training at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in Barbican as a full time performing arts student, graduating with a Trinity Diploma in performing arts in 2010. From there, Miss Carla, worked professionally for 2 and a half years doing various corporate events and features as a dancer and actor. Her main roles include 'Beauty' in Beauty and the Beast and 'La La' (ugly sister) in Cinderella with a touring Pantomime company. She also worked as a show girl dancer in the fly team with the entertainment company 'Cornucopia' for 6 months around hotels in Rhodes, Greece. Miss Carla has always had a true passion for teaching and previous to the last 5 years, cover taught whenever possible. In 2012,she started her qualifications to become an ISTD ballet teacher with the Anthony Clifford’s Centre in Romford. She is very pleased to have completed her DDE qualification and to have become a recognised teacher with the ISTD. As well as teaching at the Pixie Lott Performing Arts Academy, Miss Carla works at various other dance schools across Essex and South London.
